hola puerto rico!
I also got to tour the fort with Jill, Lisa and Tim, a friend and some colleagues from UCSB....what a great opportunity we are givin by our department ! Thanks Willie & Jill and my staff who hold the "home fort" down to allow me to be out in the world~this really does make a difference in our lives and more importantly in and for the lives of others!
It has been awhile since I did this bloggin thing, and I know there must be an easier way-attempting to download pictures on here seems almost impossible...so I will play some more and figure out what exactly I need to do to have much more ease and grace in putting these posts up...by China, I should have it figured out!
I had lunch at a great place that one of our founding fathers, Max Brandt suggested~and it was delicious! Raices (better known as Rice) had delicious drinks (non-alcoholic) and a bowl of beans & rice that I throughly enjoyed! I then wandered the rest of the afternoon away and decided to jump back on board to see if I could figure out how to get my computer going...of course no one was here, but at least I attemped to get these 2 blog postings up before everyone else jumped on board onto the internet!
Although the bandwidth has been increased dramatically since I was on last in 2006, there are more contraptions on board to use it up quickly! the internet is slow, yet plenty for how much time we should all be on here versus being and seeing the world~just my 2 cents worth, being my first 2 voyages did not have internet on board~just means for me that I will jump on here in the early mornings or late, late night when I write-so warn you now, depending on the mood and speed...these posts may sometimes be short yet sweet with juicy delights of the world!
On ship time is in 1 hour, so the ship will fill back up for us to take off from PR later this evening on our way back to the Bahamas.Tomorrow is filled with delights like the Olympics and Captain's dinner, which are 2 favorite activities on board and I will attempt to do one more blog of life at sea during this reunion voyage then!
For now, adios amigos and amigas!
