ALOHA!!!

From the beautiful state of Hawaii...we had an amzing pre-port last night with hula and an amazing perspective from a student from Hawaii. As the sun rose this morning at 6am, we all witnessed a beautiful sunrise, pulled into the pier #2 and all passengers were off the ship faster than we could say "the ship has cleared imigration"...

I have had the fortune of being in Hawaii gosh, I could not even tell you how many times, so I choose to have this be one of my "duty dean" ports~this means being within 1 hour of the ship for emergencies.

The other fortune for me was that I had the pleasure of spending the day with my cousin, Naila Akchurin-Wuertz and her husband Steve, seen here...it was soooo great to catch up after not seeing them for close to 6 years... They came and picked me up and took me to the windy side of the island where they live in Kailua. We hung out by the pool, had lunch at a local hangout and reconnected. They have lived in this paradise for over 30 years, and it shows in their island charm and hospitality...so, it was so great~mahalo, Naila & Steve!
And we are off...on-time at 2300...time to get some shut eye...an amazing day in another piece of paradise called the world...

love, ro
