amazing, always, alive and alluring...ISE is....

hi all~
maya, alexa,  gavin, sara, hanna, catherine
well, the 48 hour training marathon was over today at 1730, after our student support meeting-I have 6 GREAT student staff that are amazing!   Here is their before photo after meeting them at the meeting and then we went straight to the parent's reception until 8pm tonight, which was a full house! I spent the rest of the evening cleaning our some shelf space to put supplies for the position in the communications office, although I will not have an office on board~mainly making myself at home in a variety of spaces all over the ship, including sitting right here at my desk in my room! I asked them to do the same, get settled into their rooms so that when tomorrow arrives, they are ready to go!!!

fortunately for me, this will be my 4th voyage and I am well versed generally on how thing operate, so training was about getting clarification of some changes that have happened since I sailed last in 2006....let's just say, lot has changed~all for the good, I think! I also ran out for an hour into Nassau today and began some "shopping" for things for the auction...of course one thing I will or someone will collect is chocolate from all over the world to sell as an auction item as well as patches...I have set aside a couple of other items I brought on board as well as probably offereing a weekend in Santa Barbara as one of the items...that will be interesting to say the least!

i really know that I am going to enjoy my position on board this time around-all positive, fun and passionate work about a program and Institute I love and adore! I am soooooo excited about putting my creative hat on and thinking a bit out of the box about how to create a well-educated, well versed and passionate alumni!

it also always so fun to meet the parents and share this adventure and calm their fears!

gosh, I feel so alive tonight, although a cold has found me to finally take out the last bit of pent up stress in my body to prepare me to be well, rested, peaceful and passionate on this 104 day adventure!

so, i leave you with that~this voyage of discovery is sooooo alluring~ it brings my SELF to the surface and allows me to be fully self expressed, free from constraints to create a space that allows me to be me...

so, until tomorrow then thank you ISE and Krista for believing in me to help create future alum that will knock you socks...and perhaps even your shoes off!!!
